Southwest Gas is aware of a fake check scam which involves a request that you deposit a counterfeit
Southwest Gas check and then directs you to send the scammer money in a similar amount. There have
been several variations of the scam.

Southwest Gas advises that the mailings are a scam and the checks look real, but are fake and they will not be honored.
Don't deposit the check. Instead, if you receive such a mailing, you should contact your local law enforcement agencies.
