Our energy audit program is Smarter because increased efficiency leads to higher production and less product waste; Greener because by reducing your business' energy usage, you, in turn, reduce your energy costs. You can keep a little green for you, and make our environment greener, too; and Better because you'll learn the steps you need to take to improve, replace, or tune-up your existing facilities and equipment.

An Energy Audit might be right for your business if you have one or more of the following:

• A facility that is more than 10 years old
• Single-pane windows
• Equipment that is in need of a tune-up
• Equipment that needs to be replaced
• No existing energy manager or energy plan for your facility

Application Details
Rebates are available for audits performed by a Southwest Gas approved contractor from November 1, 2009 through November 30, 2011 or until program funds are no longer available, whichever comes first. Due to limited funding, please submit your rebate application as soon as possible after the audit. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and must be postmarked by December 15, 2011.

This program is limited to one energy audit per facility. Incentive awards are 50% of the total cost of the audit up to a maximum of $5,000.

Additional Energy Efficiency Rebates After you complete the audit on your facility, implement an energy-efficient improvement identified within the audit, and you may qualify for additional rebates! Energy-Efficient Improvement Program Requirements Available Rebate Custom Rebate Approved by Southwest Gas $1 / therm (annual reduction) Air Curtain Usage > 20 hours/week $2,000 Non-Condensing Boiler Efficiency > 85% and installed with modulating burner control.  Boilers > 10 MMBTU must also have an O2 trim control pad. $1 / MBTUH input rating Condensing Boiler Efficiency > 92% $1.50 / MBTUH input rating Steam Boiler Efficiency > 83% $1 / MBTUH input rating Modulating Burner Control for Boiler Turndown ratio > 5:1 $5,000 O2 Trim Control for Boiler O2 trim control pad installed $5,000 Steam Trap for Boiler Steam trap replaced or repaired $250 Boiler Tune-Up 9 point inspection $250 Rebates are available for Southwest Gas customers who complete an energy audit or assessment on their facility and implement an energy-efficient improvement between June 1, 2011 and November 30, 2011. Due to limited funding, please submit your rebate application as soon as possible once you have implemented your energy-efficient improvement.

How Do I Apply For Rebates?

NOTE: Energy audits and improvements must be completed prior to the payment of any rebates. Southwest Gas reserves the right to verify both the contractor certification and address of the facility audited before any rebates are issued. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.

Required Documents
Along with the completed and signed rebate application, you will need to submit a copy of your invoice(s) that show the following:

• Address of the facility audited/location of improvement
• Date(s) of the audit/improvement
• Contractor who performed the audit/improvement
• Total cost of the audit/improvement

Processing Time for Rebate
Please allow 6-8 weeks to receive your rebate(s).

Project Evaluation and Selection
Southwest Gas will review and approve applications on a first-come, first-served basis. The incentive program will continue until available funds are depleted.
